Steps to follow before playing League of Legends

There is a very high chance that you must have heard about League of Legends. It is a very popular game and we recommend you to play it as well by having it from But before you start playing the game, you need to complete a few small steps. We have provided you the steps which you need to follow.

Create an account

In order to play to League of Legends, you need to create a LoL account. You can do that by visiting the official website of League of Legends i.e. You need to download the game. The download usually takes a few minutes. In the meantime, you can make an account if you don’t have until now.

Install and Patch

After the download is complete, you have to install the game. Once the game is installed, you need to start the parching. The patches are the free updates whichadd new content into the game. After the patching is done, there will be a play button which you need to click and then you will see the main game client which will appear in front of you.

Log in

Then, log in into your account. You need to enter the information which you used while creating your account. When logging in for the first time, you will be prompted to choose a “summoner name”. This name which you will enter will be the one which the other players can see you and call you by. It is ideal to choose an appropriate name, as inappropriate names are not tolerated by League of Legends.

Play the tutorial

After you have logged in, you will find a large play button which will appear on the top of the screen. Then, you can click on tutorials and choose the type of tutorial which you would like to play. You can skip the tutorial but we recommend you to play it as you will get a better understanding of the game as you play along.


Now, that you have played the tutorial, or skipped it, as per your wish, you can go on to play your first competitive game on League of Legends.
